Festival

“This weekend is a summer camp, a laboratory, a rehearsal, a library, a playground, a concert hall; For what is possible, for active problem solving, for a future we aren’t afraid of, a future we wake up excited and ready for each morning, a new union and body, all amidst catastrophe: our moment of opportunity.”
This summer the festival will be at the Ignatius CSA intern farmhouse, a 10 minute bike ride from Downtown Guelph July 16-18 and we will be featuring to key note speakers, indie bands, campfire hootannanys, communal meals, discussion groups and workshops such as how to make a solar food dehydrator, simple DIY silkscreening, creating art synergy, wild edible walks, compost making, and how to keep your very own chickens!
For those interested in being core participants, staying for the entire weekend and being involved in all aspects of the festival, we are asking for a $20 suggested participant donation (though no one will be turned away if they are not able to pay this amount). For all others joining us for a day, evening or afternoon, there will be a pwyc donation model for each workshop/concert you wish to attend.
Confirmed Musicians: Maggie Claire Cross, Honest I’s, Natalie Amber, Beth Klapwyk and Seb Ramirez, Byron, Barn Owl Far From Rich, First Rate People, Ruffian Kings, New Wings for Words

Leave your hairspray, bananas (mosquitoes!), alcohol and drugs at home.
Organizers: Along with us, members from the AboutFace Collective and the Dupont-Spadina Corner Collective are the main organizers. Workshop facilitators range from CRAFT, Student Christian Movement, Hamilton FreeSkool and more.
Registration: We are in the midst of making a registration form but for now you can send an email to beansforeverymeal@gmail.com with your name, how long you’ll be staying, and any ways you’d like to participate (helping with food prep, making the campfire, etc).

Hey There!
I would love to join the beansprouts for the weekend, likely between Friday until Sunday. Also, our band Little Birds Erotica (Chelsee Henebury, Lean Tokman, Maranda Cook) would happily play a set or some tunes around the fire. I would be able to help with food preparation at points throughout the festival. Looking forward to what sounds like a beautiful event.
